History

In the mid-1980s we traveled through the Algerian Sahara in our first self-built van. At that time, the expansion of our T2 was still quite spartan, but it withstood the rough slopes. Unfortunately there was no four-wheel drive for the bus at that time, but we were able to make up for this with sand shovels and muscle power. At the beginning of the 1990s, we converted a GRP cabin into a motorhome based on the Nissan KingCab in order to travel around Scandinavia and Iceland. With all-wheel drive, locks and gear reduction, Iceland's highland roads were now much easier to travel than in previous years with our motorcycles. For the next 14 years and 350,000km we were again accompanied by a Bulli, but this time a T3 with a self-modified Weinsberg extension. So we went on family vacations with our three children across Scandinavia, the Pyrenees and southern and eastern Europe to enduro events. This was followed by our first T5, at that time still in the California Beach version with self-built furniture, which formed the prototype for our current concept. Since then, it has been continually optimized and developed in order to maintain and improve the best possible quality and our promise of comfort. We regularly put our extensions to the test ourselves through tours to Corsica, Morocco, Iceland and many other countries. So we can say with a clear conscience that we know what we are talking about.
